Emergency crews responded to an incident in rural Leighton Wednesday evening.

At approximately 7:55 p.m., Pella Ambulance and Pella Rural Fire received a call from Mahaska County of a man lying unconscious underneath a tractor. They assisted at the scene along Highway 163 near mile marker 51 at the corner of Fisher Avenue. The Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office and Mahaska County Ambulance also responded.
