Making into the Iowa Conference tournament for the second straight season, the Central men’s basketball team had their ups and their downs along the way during the regular season league schedule. On the brink of losing a big road game against Luther, the Dutch found a way to make a play at the end and win to help cement a nice end to the regular season and also secure a first-round home game in the Iowa Conference tourney. Coach Craig Douma says this year will be no different in terms of the difficulty of the league. Douma reiterates that it all comes down to how his team performs on the defensive side of the ball, as his guys are talented enough to create opportunities on the offensive end. Central’s men tip-off the ’15-’16 season with a home game against Webster on November 14.
