The Knoxville City Council will participate in a special work session Thursday regarding storm water retention.
The meeting comes from an issue with a creek along Laura Lane. A private resident says the creek is eroding his backyard due to storm waters entering the creek and would like the city to pay the cost of correcting the issue.
Knoxville City Manager Harold Stewart says the council will have to determine if the city should be involved with this issue, since it’s not city-owned land, and if such involvement should be done in the future for the whole city or only on a case-by-case basis.
The special work session will be held at Knoxville City Hall beginning at 6:15pm.
