More delays for travelers are possible along the road that crosses the Red Rock Dam this fall.

Vern Cochran with Missouri River Energy Services says short-duration road closures will occur along Highway T-15, beginning by the end of the month.

“It will be for up to an hour at a time, and that’s just to facilitate some further excavation in the powerhouse area,” Cochran says.

“It’s for public safety to have them back out of the way as they move equipment and perform operations down in the powerhouse area.”

They will occur between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and continue through the month of October. Message boards will be posted along T-15 on both the Pella and Knoxville sides of the dam to inform drivers.
