Changes to the city’s non-conforming lots ordinance were approved by the Knoxville City Council earlier this week.
Knoxville City Manager Harold Stewart says the amendment should be helpful when attempting to sell a home. He says it should alleviate issues with banks regarding the need for a letter of rebuild in order to get a home loan.
The amendment clarifies the 5ft setback rule and states structures can be rebuilt on lots, as long as they meet the city’s setback requirements.
