A Des Moines man accused of passing a fraudulent check in Pella has been sentenced.

Joseph Daniel Duff, 36, changed his plea to guilty for 2nd Degree Theft, a class D felony, and had a Forgery charge dismissed. According to court records, Duff passed a fraudulent check for more than $2400 at a local Bank. He received five years in prison, to be served concurrently with a Lucas County sentence.
