A.L.I.C.E training will be conducted by the Knoxville Police Department on Wednesday at both Knoxville High School and Middle School.

Officer Kyle Keller explains that A.L.I.C.E. means Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate, and is used to prepare individuals to handle an active shooter situation.

Keller says while only staff members will be involved in this training, it will later be presented to children so they know how to protect themselves and survive these type of scenarios.

The A.L.I.C.E. program is available to community businesses and establishments that have multiple people at one time. Contact the Knoxville Police Department for more information.
