The Marion County Employers Council of Iowa is hosting a seminar on Unemployment Insurance Appeals next week.

It takes place on Thursday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Pella Pizza Ranch. Chief Law Judge Emily Chafa will cover the following topics: UI Appeals and the hearing process, preparing for the appeal process, evidence to provide during the hearing, and definition of misconduct and more. Judge Chafa earned her law degree from Loyola School of Law in Chicago and currently manages the Iowa Workforce Development UI Appeals Bureau. The event is free, with lunch available at a cost.
