Pella Mayor Jim Mueller is planning to run for his office in the November 3rd elections.
Mueller has served as mayor for the past four years and has been involved with the city council since 2003. He tells KNIA/KRLS News his goal is to continue to maintain the current standards of government, because decisions made by this city council will have lasting impacts.
“One of the biggest things I’ve said over and over again, is we’ve had so many benefits that we experience and we enjoy today because of investments that prior mayors and councils made–even as long ago as 50 or 100 years, and we’re still reaping those benefits,” Mueller says.
“That is something I’d like to continue to pull forward and pay forward to the next generation.”
In Pella, three Council member seats are also up for election, including ward 2, ward 4, and at-large. The deadline to file candidacy paperwork for the 2015 Knoxville and Pella city council elections is Thursday, September 17th.
