Running on a very familiar course, the Pella High cross country teams performed well at their home Dutch Invitational at Central College on Saturday. The Little Dutch took second place overall in the Large School Division, getting beat out by just Iowa City West. Pella scored 55 points, led by a fourth place run by Adam Sievers in 17:44, and a sixth place finish from Blaise Winegardner at 17:56. The girls in green came in fourth place in their division with 97 points. Iowa City West was again first, followed by Waukee and Gilbert with 46 and 85 points, respectively. Ciara Buchheit crossed first for the Lady Dutch in 21:42, good for 13th place, and Tess Roorda was close behind with a 15th-place time of 21:59.
