The U.S. Air Force (USAF) Band of Mid-America’s ensemble Starlifter is set to perform at Central College tonight.

The seven-piece group will feature a wide range of genres.

“They play everything from rock and pop to jazz, and even country,” Event Organizer Guy Blair says. “They have contemporary and traditional patriotic songs included in the program as well.”

He tells KNIA/KRLS News Starlifter is one of many different regional ensembles in the Air Force.

“The groups at Scott Air Force Base in the band of Mid-America include: a concert band, jazz band, a brass quintet that tours the country, a woodwind quintet, the Starlifter group, and other organizations,” Blair says.

The free concert will be held at Douwstra Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. We have more on Let’s Talk Pella.
