A Pella woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash near Trenton, Missouri late Tuesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says at approximately 9:45 p.m., a 2007 Pontiac driven by Thomas Stangl, 80, of Pella, was traveling northbound on US Highway 65 when it traveled to the west side of the roadway and struck an embankment. The car became airborne, crossed over a creek bed, and came to a rest in a field.

Rhonda Vink, 60, of Pella, was the lone passenger in the vehicle, and according to the accident report, was listed as suffering “moderate” injuries. Vink was transported via ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Stangl, the driver of the vehicle, was not injured.
