Marion County women are featured in a photographic exhibit that offers a look at the impact women have in agribusiness.

Photographer Marji Guyler-Alaniz says the goal of her project, FarmHer, has been to include the image of women in agriculture. She says she photographs women in all types of ag roles and uses the images in various types of media to show women are a part of agriculture too. Jill Beebout and Lois Reichert are featured in the exhibit.

Guyler-Alaniz hopes the exhibit will open people’s minds about who’s involved in farming.

The FarmHer exhibit is on display at the Polk County Heritage Gallery in Des Moines.
