A Pella resident is competing to be this year’s Miss Iowa USA.
Nicole Sikkema will compete in Newton for the event on October 11th. Sikkema says she is thankful for a number of sponsors that have backed her so far.
The new Miss Iowa USA will compete with 50 other state titleholders next spring for Miss USA. The program consists of three proportional segments: evening gown, fitness/swimwear and personality interview.
The Miss Iowa USA competition will be held in the Newton High School Auditorium at 4 p.m.
