After downing the coaches-chosen preseason favorite to win the conference last Tuesday, Central’s volleyball team goes for win number two in the IIAC with a road trip to Dubuque and a date with the Spartans.

The Dutch have won five of the last seven meet-ups between the two schools, but only one of the last three, which came in 2014, where Central won in four sets. The Dutch are hitting .222 on the season, with opponents only killing at a clip of .074. Central also has four players with at least 60 kills this season through 11 matches. The Spartans are only hitting .138, but are led by Klaudia Basierak (BAZ-er-ack), who sports 140 kills in also just 11 contests. Dubuque enters with a 4 – 7 record. The first serve will be in the air tonight at 7:30 p.m.
