Marion County Board of Supervisors Chairman Mark Raymie says a judge has rejected the county’s appeal against the Iowa Department of Human Services denial to extend the grant for the Mid-Iowa Behavioral Health Region.
The judge rejected the county’s argument that the provisional region, made up of Marion and Mahaska Counties, hadn’t been given the two year minimum to establish the region by DHS.
As a result, Marion County has been accepted to join the County Rural Offices of Social Services (CROSS) region and they will now join that region.
