With another successful Knoxville Cancer Relay, the groundwork had been laid for another possible record-breaking Coaches vs Cancer event.

Organizer Jim Uitermarkt says he never envisioned the Knoxville Coaches vs Cancer event would be such a success.

Uitermarkt says he gets e-mails from schools around the country, asking why their Coaches vs Cancer event is the best in the nation. He tells them it’s the large fundraising events put on by the community and the generosity of the citizens of Knoxville.
