The young Central men’s golf team wound up with a tenth-place finish in the 54-hole Twin Cities Classic in St. Paul, Minnesota on Monday.
A pair of sophomores stood out for the Dutch; Trevor Schweinefus and Hunter Sickels each scored a career-low 71, and both rounds were the first to be completed under par for Central this season. The Dutch carded a 917 for the tournament, right in the middle of a 20-team field. St. Thomas won the meet with a total score of 880. Schweinefus led the team individually with a 228 to come in tied for 28th. Central will next golf next Monday and Tuesday in the Grand View Viking Classic at the Tournament Club of Iowa in Polk City.
