Knoxville City Council candidate Rick Kingery would like to improve relations between the council and the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce.

Kingery, a member of the chamber board, says he believes the relationship between the two city entities is contentious and, as a way to promote economic growth in the community, the council should listen more to what the chamber has to say since they’re a representative of the majority of businesses in Knoxville.
