A blood drive in memory of a Pella Christian graduate collected 111 units of blood.

The 5th annual Megan’s Legacy drive was held on the birthday of Megan Hoogeveen, who passed away from the rare blood disease HLH following graduation in 2011. Her father Mike tells KNIA/KRLS News since her passing, they’ve been able to provide more than 500 units of blood for LifeServe. Due to the popularity of the most recent blood drive, the family will hold the 6th annual event on December 30th, 2016.
