Before the teeth of their 2016 schedule, the Pella Christian girls basketball team is hoping to build some steam against winless Earlham tonight.

The 4-5 Eagles had an uneven week, falling to conference foe Norwalk on Tuesday and beaingt Saydel 47-33 Thursday in the first two of a five-game home stand.

Head Coach Kevin Van Maanen tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his staff will be using the defacto tune-up to evaluate how the girls have responded to some early challenges in the new year.

The Cardinals are 0-10 to start the season, and have lost their games by an average of 22 points. They are led in scoring by junior Kennedy Morris.

Pella Christian will again be without Freshman post Isabella Baugh, who is nursing an ankle injury. Opening tip is at 5:30 p.m. in the Eagles’ home gym.
