Central Grad and Olympic Hopeful Holding Trivia Night Fundraiser to Support Career

A Central alum and Indoor Pentathlon Division III National Champion is pursuing an Olympic dream, and is looking for the community’s support.

Decathlete Kurtis Brondyke graduated from Central College in 2011, and for the past four years has been training for the chance to compete for Olympic gold.

Brondyke tells KNIA/KRLS News his time at Central has helped prepare him for his competitions against some of the best decathletes in the country.

A trivia night fundraiser will be held on Saturday, January 23rd in the Central College Graham Center at 6 p.m.

Money raised will support Brondyke with travel expenses, meet entry fees, and training equipment.
