The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

They took under consideration a proposal to assist the IMPACT Community Action Partnership, adjusted the IRS mileage reimbursement rate to $0.54, and discussed the county budget process. The Supervisors will meet with department heads January 25, 26, and 27 to identify needs so the certified budget can be in place as required by March 15. A computer hardware and software replacement schedule was discussed. The board also conducted preliminary planning regarding a new building the county will construct east of the courthouse in the location where a degrading building was demolished last year and where one adjacent to the site will be demolished later this month. The demolition of the building at 117 E 3rd is tentatively scheduled for January 29.
