The Pella Christian boys basketball team showed off their offensive prowess with a big 2nd half on the road against the Ballard Bombers in their 73-67 victory heard live on KRLS.

The Eagles racked up 47 points in the final two quarters, propelled by an on-fire Levi Jungling, who finished with 28 points and 9 rebounds behind his season-high eight deep shots. Mitch Fopma added 13 and Graham Howerzyl knocked down six foul shots to keep Ballard out of reach in the final period. Head Coach Larry Hessing says the play of Howerzyl down the stretch was a big key in protecting their late lead.

The girls fell to No. 6 in Class 4A Ballard 53-19. Cailey Terpstra scored all nine first-half Eagles points, and Brooke Mitrisin had seven on the night. Pella Christian’s boys are 8-4, the girls fall to 5-9, and both teams make the trip to Newton Friday.
