Knoxville’s annual Coaches vs Cancer games will be held on tomorrow.
The event raises funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society. Knoxville has been tops in the nation for the past three years, and raised over $86,000 in 2015. Co-organizer and Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS News it’s a wonderful event that brings the community together, and that he and his co-organizer and wife Angie appreciate the community support. Senior basketball player Sierra Findley she says she grew up watching Knoxville’s Coaches vs. Cancer and it gets better every year. Events are all day Saturday, with the game beginning at 6:15 pm.
