Knoxville’s annual Coaches vs Cancer games will be held today. Knoxville’s event has been tops in the nation for the past three years, and raised over $86,000 in 2015.

Co-organizer and Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS News it’s a great event for all of the community, but he thinks the involvement of students and athletes is particularly important. Uitermarkt says they learn the life lesson that if a community pulls together, it can accomplish great things. Events are all day, with the game beginning at 6:15 pm.
