The Knoxville City Council is considering a new City Hall and Public Safety Building.

Interim City Manager Aaron Adams says Knoxville City Hall was originally designed as a hospital, and is outdated and doesn’t serve the city’s needs. The Fire Department has structural and roof problems. It’s also cramped for space and isn’t a modern facility. Police Chief Dan Losada and Fire Chief Jim Mitchell agree the current space fails to serve the needs of their departments.
