Against the winless Eagles of East Union the Pleasantville Girls finally got back on the right side of the scoreboard with a 48-34 victory last night, while the boys were able to empty their bench in a dominating 72-45 victory.

Game one of the doubleheader featured the referee’s whistles blown often, and both teams had their depth tested as fould trouble plagued both teams and a total of five girls fouled out. The Trojans got a monster performance out of senior forward Bailey Oliva, 19 points and 18 rebounds, both season highs. Head Coach Aaron Fichter said that while the win was not pretty, he was happy his girls buckled down and got the win. The Trojans improve to 4-10. The boys would jump out to an early lead and not look back garnering a 25-7 first quarter lead and would be able to empty their bench early on in the third quarter. Brady Elder would once again would score over 20 points, scoring 21 despite not playing the last 12 minutes. The Trojans improve to 9-4, and both squads will hit the court on Monday against Clarke.
