Despite not taking home any championships, the Pella High wrestling team still held their own against some strong Class 2A and 3A competition in Williamsburg. Ethan Speltz dropped his first two contests at 132, but recovered to win his last three over Davenport West, Mount Pleasant, and Williamsburg wrestlers. James Van Gorp also grappled his way to three victories at 160, and Ashton Messer at 170. Heavyweight, Keegan Poole, grabbed two wins early, but had to forfeit late in the day due to injury.
