Coming into conference play as one of the highest scoring teams in the league, boasting the best non-conference record in the Iowa Conference, the Central men’s basketball team has seen some of their offensive magic fade away through six IIAC contests, particularly in the first half.

In their last four games, the Dutch have been outscored 130 – 110 in the first half. Central has only shot 39% from the field in the first 20 minutes of the six Iowa Conference games up to this point. The bad start possibly cost them a loss on Saturday, in an overtime thriller with Buena Vista. Central made just one of 17 three-point attempts, and Coach Craig Douma knows the offense needs to step up for a big four weeks of basketball ahead of them, starting on Wednesday night. Central hosts rival Simpson in a women’s – men’s twin-bill that is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
