It’s always an affair when Simpson comes to town, and tonight will be no different when the Storm and Central basketball teams clash to conclude each squad’s first trip through the Iowa Conference.

Both the Dutch women and men dropped both of their road games last week versus Coe and Buena Vista, and are looking to gain traction in the league standings with just four weeks and eight games left to go before the conference tournament. Central’s women will take on a Simpson team that started 2016 by winning three straight, but have since dropped three-in-a-row. The Storm’s women average just 66 points per game, but their defense has stifled opponents to around 63 per game this year.

Simpson’s men have been a bit of a surprise, and are tied for second in the league at 4 – 2. They don’t feature many stats that jump off the page, but they only turn the ball over 12 times per game while forcing 17 on defense, which could be a problem for the turnover-prone Dutch. The women’s game tonight will tip-off first at 6:00 p.m. inside of P.H. Kuyper.
