The Pleasantville Girls basketball squad would dominate the Tigers of Lenox last night winning in a full team effort 50-30.
Kelsee Van Haalen and Corrine Thomas would lead the team with 12 points apiece, while Madyson Thill would contribute 9. The Trojan bench would be emptied early, and getting the win and winning two of their last three games will help this team move forward Head Coach Aaron Fichter tells KNIA/KRLS Sports. The girls improve to 5-12 with the win. The boys game was for much bigger stakes, as the winner would claim first place in a competitive Pride of Iowa Conference, but Lenox proved to be too much for the Trojans to handle and would hand them a defeat 64-60. Brady Elder would lead the team with 31 points, and Zeb Adreon would contribute 15 and the Trojans drop to 11-5. Both Trojan squads will next play Tuesday at I-35.
