A Pella man accused of influencing a minor to steal money from family members has pled guilty to one count and had another dismissed.

Arland Dale Lamb, 48, was arrested by the Pella Police Department on a Marion County Warrant in March 2015. He pled guilty to 2nd degree theft, and had his charge of contributing to a minor’s delinquency, a class C felony, dismissed.

According to court documents, Lamb allegedly asked his son to steal more than $6000 from the child’s great-grandparents on multiple occasions from November 2014 to January 2015. Police say Lamb promised gifts in exchange for the thefts.

Lamb received deferred judgement and three years probation.
