The Simpson Women’s Basketball Team would complete the season sweep over the Dubuque Spartans Saturday afternoon with a dominating 76-62 road victory, the Men were defeated 74-60.

Noreen Morrow would once again put up a fine performance with 20 points including going 8-9 from the charity stripe and the Storm had four scorers in double digits. The stingy Storm defense would hold the Spartans to only 31.5% shooting, while putting in 43% themselves. The Women improve to 5-3 in Iowa Conference play. The Men’s squad would get outshot, outrebounded, and had more turnovers in their loss. Sam Amsbaugh would lead the team with 14 points, but guard Andre Norris for Dubuque proved too much for the Storm to handle on his way to 24 points. The Storm fall to 5-3 on their second leg through the IIAC. Both Storm squads will next play Wednesday at home against Wartburg.
