Currently on a two game losing streak, the PCM Boys basketball squad still has some issues that need to be worked out before postseason begins.

They lost to a Nevada team at home, a team that they had previously defeated on the road, by 10 points. And then on Tuesday night they traveled to play Gilbert with the winner being in first place in the Heart of Iowa Conference but couldn’t stick with the tough tigers and fell by 11. The lack of depth seems to be an issue for the Mustangs, with the bench scoring zero points in the game against Nevada and barely any bench players would see the floor against Gilbert. With postseason just a week away, the Mustangs a fortunate to have qualified for a bye in the first round and have plenty of practice time for coach Fred Lorenson to get them back into top shape. The Mustangs have one more regular season test ahead of them, this Friday at Greene County, and then postseason begins next Thursday at Des Moines Christian against the winner of Madrid and Woodward-Granger.
