Junior men’s basketball forward at Central, Colby Taylor, was chosen to the Capital One Division III Academic All-District Eight team presented by the College Sports Information Directors of America. For consideration for the award, a student-athlete must be a starter or a key reserve at the varsity level and achieve at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average. Taylor is majoring in actuarial science and holds a 3.47 GPA. The junior leads the team in scoring with 20.6 points per game, and with 9.3 rebounds per game. He is also 11th on the all-time scoring list in Dutch men’s hoops’ history. Only two other Iowa Conference players were named to the six-man all-district team. Central next plays Wartburg tomorrow afternoon.
