The Knoxville Boys and Girls Bowling squads have qualified for the state meet.
Both teams won at the Bondurant-Farrar site with the boys racking up more than 2800 pins led by Daniel Rankin’s 416 series, which earned him individual champion. The girls knocked down just under 2300 pins, led by Mackenzie McCarty’s 395 series–earning her individual champion as well. Pella High and Pella Christian each had one individual make it to the state tournament. Cameron Miller had the high game and series for the Dutch and advanced as an individual to the Class 2A meet on Tuesday. Representing the Eagles will be Anna Burg, who was an individual medalist and she will roll for a solo title on Monday in the Class 1A state tournament. The state meet will be held at Plaza Lanes in Des Moines next Monday through Wednesday.
