The Pella City Council continued discussion about the reconstruction of Washington Street at their regular meeting Tuesday.

City Administrator Mike Nardini says the project will start at East 1st Street and go to Hazel Street. The road will also be widened from 25 to 31 feet, and new sewer and water mains will be added. A public hearing date is set for April 5 to receive bids for the project and award the contract.
