The Prairie City-Monroe School District is in the process of working on projects for next academic year.

Superintendent Brad Jermeland says the board recently went over their 2016-17 calendar and their preschool program offerings. Jermeland also says they are joining the statewide Teacher Leadership and Compensation Initiative next year.

PCM and Knoxville are both in the process of joining the program, while Pella was among the first schools enrolled.
