The deadline is closing in for soon-to-be and recent graduates from Knoxville High School to download forms and apply for scholarships awarded by the Knoxville Panther Scholarship Foundation.

Foundation President Kurt Froyen tells KNIA/KRLS News that over the organization’s 13 years of existence, 912 students have received over $600,000 in awards. 2016 will be the first year that scholarships will be given to students continuing in their second, third, and fourth year of college. Most scholarships are for $500, and all who apply will receive one. The deadline for application is Tuesday, March 1.
