With the winter sports season at an end for the PCM Mustangs, their wrestlers have plenty to feel good about during this past season.

Seven wrestlers would get past the first round of postseason play, and four wrestlers would move on to Wells Fargo Arena for the State Tournament last week, all four of whom still have plenty of eligibility left at the High School Level. The lone junior of the quartet Xavier Miller would be the “old man” of the group, as he was accompanied by three freshmen to Des Moines. Lucas Roland, Wes Cummings, and Jarron Trausch competed in their first season as varsity wrestlers while simultaneously experiencing their first year of high school. PCM Head Wrestling Coach Cory Waddell told KNIA/KRLS Sports that even with all the success this year, it is a building block for years to come. Listen to the Knoxville Hyvee Radio Coaches Corner this morning from 10-noon for a full season recap of the PCM Wrestling season.
