In a few weeks, even a few months or years from now, the members of the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad will not remember the scores of this season’s games, and many not even remember the overall won/loss record. What Coach Jim Uitermarkt hopes they take away from the 2015/2016 season is many of the off the court memories they were involved in as a team. Uitermarkt says events like the Coaches vs. Cancer event is one event that he still gets former players coming back and saying how they realized there was more to basketball than the game.
