Six runs in the ninth still were not enough to complete a comeback by the Central baseball team yesterday, as they dropped to Thomas More of Kentucky, 15 – 11. Their opponents scored 12 of those 15 runs in the first three innings off of Mark Schroeder. Freshman Billy Coppage pitched the rest of the way, and controlled the bleeding by allowing just three runs over six innings of work. It’s the third straight setback for the Dutch, who now sit with a 1 – 3 record. They’ll have the day off today before returning to the diamond tomorrow down in Florida against Cornell.
