Spring is in the air, and while that’s good news for most, it may mean another early bloom for tulips in Pella.

Community Services Director Jeanette Vaughan says some of the 102,000 city bulbs planted this past fall are already creeping out of the ground. Vaughan tells KNIA/KRLS they’ve brought back some of last year’s popular features and mixed in some new concepts for this year’s festival.

She says an early blooming season took place last year, which actually increased visitor traffic over the two prior weekend
