Fourth-graders from around Marion County learned more about the world of agriculture.

The annual Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom was held at Vermeer Corporation Thursday.

Chasen Stevenson with Marion County Farm Bureau says kids had hands on opportunities to explore the industry.

“They get tractors in here, combines, goats, bottle calf, and a lamb — they get to see all those things and ask questions,” he tells KNIA/KRLS.

“They’ve really, really enjoyed it.”

Students from Pella, Knoxville, Pleasantville, Twin Cedars, and Melcher-Dallas all participated in the day long event.
