Basketball teams in the Tulip City have officially ended their season after three made the trip and placed in the Top 3 in state.

Pella High was the first team in 20 years to score 100 or more points in a tournament game when they handily defeated Chariton in consolation action Saturday to take 3rd place in Class 3A.

Pella Christian’s boys placed 3rd for the 2nd straight season after beating Anamosa 77-73 in Overtime last Friday.

The Pella Lady Dutch basketball team finished runners-up in the Class 4A girls tournament on March 5th, after winning two games the week prior.
