The Marion County Emergency Response Coalition held an exercise Friday at the Marion County Public Health Department.
This exercise tested the capability of local agencies to deal with a deadly disease. The exercise simulated an ebola outbreak in Marion County. Central College, local law enforcement, hospitals and schools all participated in the drill. Preparedness Planner Teresa Higginbotham, who coordinated the event, was pleased with how much good information was gathered about the effectiveness of plans for such a scenario.
