Area seniors are the target of a new scam.

Dawn Allspach-Kline with the Knoxville Senior Center tells KNIA/KRLS News that area residents are receiving letters signed as coming from Dan Perrin that their senior center is in jeopardy of being closed, and to send money if they want to save it. Allspach-Kline says the letter is a scam, the senior center is not in jeopardy of being closed and to NOT send money. Law enforcement has been contacted.
