Marion County seniors have been receiving a suspicious form letter soliciting donations to save the senior center from a group called Our Generation Inc.

Our Generation is a 501c4 whose mission statement declares that they advocate for elderly people at the federal level. The charity has been marked out by many charity watch organizations as a front for taking advantage of senior citizens. Marion County Senior Nutrition Director Dawn Allspach-Kline says there is no danger to senior centers in Marion County and cautions anyone who receives a letter asking for donations to call their local representatives about it. Allspach-Kline reinforced the fact that the Senior Center will never contact clients with form letters asking for donations.
