In what weren’t very “Normal” conditions, the Central men’s golf team finished day one of the Illinois Wesleyan tournament tied for 15th. The Dutch tied with Simpson with a team score of 312 in the 21-team tourney. Their current place may not sound appealing, but Central is just 18 strokes off of Parkland College, who leads with a 294 total score. Individually, Jared Nepomuceno led Central with a 76, followed closely by Nash Bucher who scored a 77. Dubuque was the other Iowa Conference school who made the trip, and they finished in ninth place. Day two for the golfers begins early this morning.
